Native Hawaiian Honeycreeper ʻAkekeʻe Gold Enamel Pin
ʻAkekeʻe are endemic to the forests of Kauaʻi. Their asymmetrical bill allows them to extract insects that live within ʻōhiʻa lehua leaves and flower buds. ʻAkekeʻe are known to sing a high pitched trill or "whisper song" that can be heard especially during foggy weather.
